before the build
The collective know-how and experience of the 3B team ensures we can meet the challenges of any commercial project. With both directors of the company taking a hands-on approach, every project has at least one of them involved from start to finish – including active involvement in Pre-contracts.
We know that good planning is imperative to lay the foundation for a successful project. Both directors are actively involved in every tender, bringing their in-depth knowledge to develop a bespoke solution for each bid. A detailed methodology and programme are produced at this stage, allowing us to “hit the ground running” onsite with a clear direction and focus to deliver a successful outcome.
Sharing our proposals and methodologies with our clients early allows us to incorporate feedback and responses into our detailed planning, ensuring we’re across client needs and expectations. Our approach to planning reflects our focus on openness, and if we identify potential risks or opportunities we prefer to present them in an open forum to mitigate risk and share opportunity.
A successful project hinges on a good relationship between the client, the builder and their delivery partners. This formula is an integral part of the selection of target projects at 3B, as our most successful projects have been delivered through collaborative approaches such as the ECI/D&C procurement process. The behaviours we have adopted through this process have improved our business from end to end.
We believe that this approach at the front end is key to the success of both our business and the projects we deliver.
In our role as builder, we recognise that the foundation to a successful project is maintaining open and transparent dialogue with all parties involved. Projects are constantly in flux, but our flexibility and strong processes allow us to manage and communicate project risk early, mitigating issues before they become real problems for the client.
Our systems and processes stand up to the best in the industry and, coupled with clear procedures, provide us with the tools to mitigate risk and achieve success. We utilise industry-standard software to follow best practice – including CostX, Primavera P6, Cheops, and WebFM.
We have extensive experience in managing complex construction projects and have developed HSEQ systems to ensure the well-being of our workforce, the public, adjacent property and the surrounding environment. Our management system supports this commitment through the provision of documented processes, procedures and records capable of demonstrating compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AS/NZS 4801.
Our relationships with our delivery partners are just as important to our business as our relationships with our clients. We have a solid history with our trusted partners and work collaboratively to find the best solution for each project.
The measure of success of a project for 3B is that all parties benefit from its success.
beyond the build
The pursuit of quality is fundamental to our success as a business – it’s what keeps our relationships with our clients strong and brings in future work. Although we take every step possible to ensure the best quality on our projects, we believe that it’s important to acknowledge any issues that do arise and address them as quickly as possible.
Our involvement with a project doesn’t end once the keys are handed over. Our directors remain hands-on during the post-completion stage, liaising directly with clients to give them the opportunity to provide feedback.
